Hi. I've purchased a bunch of new scopes lately. Last one in, is this Bushnell Engage 6-24X50.
Nice scope and I plan on doing a detailed comparison with it and a bunch of other scopes, I wanted to let you present (or future) owners of this scope aware of this:

I prefer Sun Shades (SS) on all my scopes because here in Florida, both of my private shootings ranges face into the sun in the AM. Especially in the winter.
I was disappointed that the Engage didn't come with a SS or offer one. I have a small machine shop and have made some SSs from other makes.
However, looking through my 'stash', I found a box marked:

Osprey Model SS-OSP-50. In it was both a 3" and 5" SS, 50mm.
Believe it or not, they were a perfect fit on the Engage. I had purchased this product from the Sportsman's Guide a LONG time ago. They have been discontinued and not available. But still show up on the site..

However, I found both the 3" and 5" Osprey SS on Amazon. HOWEVER, the descriptions were VERY wrong although the picture looked correct.

SO, you are on your own here, but Amazon does refund your $. I submitted a 'change' for the product info.

BTW, SWFA must have a new vendor because BOTH of my new 10X42mm SF scopes have the WORST turret feel I have ever experienced. Old Simmons scopes put them to shame.Angry
The most recent scopes that impress me most are Discovery. No connection and I now have 65 scopes.

happy shooting, gang!!

Ron if you are not satisfied with the turret feel on the SS please let customer service know so they can get you taken care of.    (972-726-7348)    Lots of scopes don't come with a sun shade so you are fortunate to have found some that fit.   I've been pretty satisfied with the Bushnell scopes that I have.   I do wish they still made a couple that they have discontinued.
