SSDD but I always like to hear suggestions in case I'm missing something. The rifle is a plinker / squirrel buster Browning T Bolt in .17HMR. I'm getting the lightweight sporter version in wood / stainless. Sweet little bugger I might ad. Anyway, I'm looking at the following scopes:
1). Minox ZA5 1.5-8 X 32 (best glass, parallax concerns???, 13 ozs, more $)
2). Leupy VXII EFR 3-9 X 33 (does have front A.O., 11 ozs.,but I'm not really a Leupy lover)
3) Weaver 2.5-7 x 28 (only weighs 9.75 ozs, Japan unit I believe) or a 3-9 x 32 with A.O. at 12 ozs.

Obviously, I'm wanting a small, trim unit for this dainty little rimfire. What says everybody?

+1, I just got one and it is a dandy little scope.  Glass is quite good and for $150 it is a super good buy.

+1 bought two, rather stole 2, of the C-3 reticles, perfect for the pair of 10/22's for plinking, don't see how this couldn't be my new 4x fixed power, replacement, perfectly clear edge to edge...

I really like the specs of the Minox, perfect power range for a rimfire IMO.

How about ranges it will be shot at? I've found the HMR to be quite capable of shooting further than I thought it would be......... I run a fairly large scope on mine, but if ranges are to be short, then from your list, I pick the Minox.

Ranges are "short"...like 150-200 yards max (likely much less). I like the Minox, just not sure about parallax concerns (since there is no A.O. and it's likely set around 100 yards). I have no problem ponying up the $479 for the Minox.
