Hey guys, it has been a while for me but I am back for more good advice. thanks in advance as always. I am going to have an ar in 223 made up for target, yote, pd, etc. you get the picture. it will be a nice tackdriver and i am wanting advice on what to put on top of it. i would like to be able to hit pd or coyote or targets at extended ranges. i am thinking of the leupy 6.5-20 with the varmint reticle or the zeiss divari 6-24 with the varmint reticle. does anyone have any experience with either or these or better yet even more suggestions. also i believe at one time on here i found a comparison of values for scopes that took into account clarity, price, cs, etc can someone direct me to that again. thanks again. |

In those two scopes, even though I am reluctant to purchase "foreign" products, I would go with the Diavari. I haven't owned a Leupy (have friends who have them, just not impressive to me for the price) in quite a while, but I am certain of the Diavari quality. My eyes see a difference and it is well in favor of the Diavari.

6x on the low end has proven itself to be to high a power for yotes for me. A 2.5-10 or if you do want to go higher a 4.5-14 If you want a high end scope go with the Swarovski Z6 3-18X 50 That will give you the power and the wide field of view fo the close fast shots.

ditto on 3-tens opinion, unless your dogs are always far away 2.5 or 3 power would be much better choice and you still have lots of options as far higher magnifications.
