What is MOA referring to scope mounts? I understand it refers to yardage but not the entire concept. What ranges are each different bases good for?
Thanks,

scope bases can be purchased that are elevated in the back, based on min. of angle change in the point of impact. this is done because some scopes don't have enough adjustment built into their elevation to do this. 20 moa base are common for 1000yd shooters, because this is a ball park elevation for a lot of loads and this adjustment keeps the reticle more or less centered. |
