What is everyones opinion of this scope?  Will be mounting it on my 280 Ackley.
I can get it for $309.95 new in box from a local gun store.
Compared to the Leupolds VX-III it seemed equal and alot cheaper which seems to be the case all too often now days.

Great scope!!

Me and several others think that the Monarch compares very well with the VXIII.

Some actually like the Nikon better.

The price of the Nikon closes the deal for me personally.

I would encourage you to use the "search" feature on this site, and check out all the info.

I would further encourage you to give SWFA, this forums owner, a chance to earn your business.

I don't think you'd be disappointed with either.

Welcome to The OT, friend!!

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

I just bought one myself. Mine cost me $345.00 to my door step. I bought the Mil Dot with Matt finish. I prefer the A.O. even though some people feel it's not necessary. The mounting distance is limited due to the over all length being shorter than some other choices. This is not a problem on short & medium actions, on the long actions you may need to use one of those extended base. I mounted mine to a Mod 70 Win. 30-06 using Weaver two peice steel bases and Burris Sig. Zee Rings. This is a pretty good choice for a deer rifle where a large FOV is desired.
Can you see me now...
