I need to know if the ATB 8x56 is the best buy for 300.00 in binoculars? I deer hunt in southeast US and beeing able to see in low light is very important. I'm 45 years old and have no idea about my pupil size? Are any other binos better for this purpose at this price?

The Nikon Monarch 8x56mm is big and heavy, have you looked through the Nikon Action Extreme ATB 7x50mm?

I have the 10x56 and hunt in SC where we can legally shoot up to 1hr. after sunset. It allowed me to take a nice 9 point that I would have had a difficult time identifying with lesser bino's. It was 40 min after sunset on a cloudy evening. Distance was 140 yards. The scope was a Nightforce. You will like these binoculars.
No doubt, it is a big and heavy bino, but with the Bino Buddy harness, it is not a problem. The factory "single strap" is nice, but feels like it will cut a groove in your neck. Edited by CWPINST |

If it ain't accurate at long distance, the fact that it is flat shooting is irrelevant.
