I have been asking alot of questions on bullets and I thank you guys alot for all the input.  I have one more.  I ordered some Norma .270 150 gr. onyx bullets to try and have my friend reload.   Has anyone used them in a .270 and if you did what powder and gr. did you use.  I would like to keep them 2850-2900 fps.  I don't have a 150 gr bullet yet for my .270 and am experimenting.  The onyx sure look like a heck of a hitter.

Are you asking about the Norma Oryx bullet?, I haven't heard of the Onyx.  If it it the Oryx bullet, it is a a bonded bullet that opens fairly quick, but still holds up well.  I used them extensively for a time in my 7mm with great results.  I think this bullet in .277 at 150gr. would perform great and be pretty stout.

Can I ask why you don't use them anymore?

They are alittle on the expensive side and there isn't alot of reloading info available, thats it.
