so i fried my brains again today pouring over 223 data, everything...came back around to scopes and was reading excerpts from forums i've never heard of (just getting back into centerfire)...

anyway all i have read in the copious amount of forums and posts on the swfa super sniper is what incredible scopes they are, not just for the money but just very good scopes...so what is in the back of my mind being a suspicious old fart, "there must be something wrong here"...

so i'm getting to the end of a thread where someone posts that he is hesitant to buy one because EVERYONE says they're great...the forum moderator comes on and says "well would you be more comfortable buying one if everyone said they suck"...

oatmeal on the computer screen...two to the chest and one to the head and it's all over me...i think i see the light...i'm not looking at anything inbetween right now, it will probably be one or the other...i've had vx-3's in the past and love them but for different applications...

some of you guys here have helped as i've read your thoughts on other forums as well as this one...thank you one and all...now i'll just go up and get a paper towel with some warm water on it and clean up...zp...

Laugh  That is funny.

For what it is worth, I have one of the old fixed 10x and the new 10x HD.  The new one is a great upgrade and has some neat new features and a big increase in glass quality.  But the old one is a very good scope as well, and does the job just fine.

I tested one of the older 10X models awhile ago, and I can assure you that it is indeed an exceptional scope overall. Not perfect, just extraordinary in overall quality and value.
  Period.

thank you gentlemen...it took me awhile to realize that the mildot reticle that comes up when i'm on one of the ss scopes is just a representation...the dots look sooo much bigger than anyone would want...i'm guessing they are much smaller in real life...some of the other scope's mildot retilce representations are smaller and it kind of threw me...plus if i buy a scope and don't like the reticle i'm guessing swfa will take it back if i return it immediately and haven't put it on the rifle, i'll call and ask...zp...

The SWFA SS is a very good scope. It will not disappoint you. Yes the reticle is a representation, and the reticle is very useable.
