I was recently given an older Tasco scope.  I was told it was from the early or mid 80's.  It is a 4-16x40 AO with a BDC turret. It currently has the BDC insert labeled A installed and came with six others including an extra A insert.  It has a standard duplex with a stadia line below the crosshair and has a pretty neat range finding system that involves the power adjustment ring.  I  normally don't have much faith in Tasco products but I had a Tasco Custom Shop that was also made in Japan that did me right. What I need info on is the BDC inserts.  What caliber or bullet weight and velocity each is for?  I did some serious searching online but it seems as though my GoogleFu has failed me.  The scope came with an owners manual of sorts but I believe pages are missing as there is no mention of the BDC system.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
