It's a high priced fancy looking Chevy that they no longer make.

Inner Sanctum on the radio.

Nice pic of the 63 split window! I had a 64 roadster.

I have a friend that had a lot of cars, but the best one he ever had was a 1966 PONTIAC GTO with a 389 3 duce, and 4 speed manual. We'd cruise around for hours in that thing listening to the AM radio.
He tinkered with the carbs until all he had was a 2 barrel, and he had to trade it.
About a year after he traded it, his dad bought a 1967 GTO convertible with a 400 4 barrel, and automatic. We didn't spend near the time in it as we did the 66, but we almost got in just as much trouble. Good thing those GTOs were fast, and we knew the streets.
I melt every time I hear "Hot Fun In the Summer Time".

My parents had one of the big land yacht Pontiacs back in the late 60's and early 70's. I hit a deer with one going about 60. Never even dented it... dented the deer big time though!
If we're not suppose to eat animals...how come they're made of meat?

What used to cost a few hundred dollars to fix the damage on a 60s car would total a new car.

My dad drove like a little ole lady but demanded muscle so he more often that not drove a sleeper.
1st was the '67 Couger XR7 w/ HO 289cuin in aqua.  After that it was a '72 LTD Brougham w/ 429 cu in big block in black jade.  He seldom got into it...  I remember we were returning from Jacksonville to Miami
after my grandfather's funeral.  5 people in the car, loaded to the hilt with luggage and pulling a single axle U-haul trailer.  We were merging back onto the florida turnpike after gasing up and eating lunch when some asshat in a Mach 1 passed him on the ramp almost putting us in the ditch.  He saw red and stomped.  Bet the mach 1 was surprised when we went right back past him pulling a trailer with a car full of sour faces....  We broke both motor mounts in the LTD doing it.....

Dad never cared for big horse power. As long as the car would cruise at 90mph with 5 or 6 people and luggage he was happy. He was more into gas mileage.

Who needs radio when you can hear the engine... or the sound of gas gushing into the carbs
It'll pass anything except a gas station!
