Mornin gents

Overcast, cool, and slightly damp; blah. Kind of the way I feel. Friday is not going to be pretty.

I would like to say that I'm in a really anti government mood, but these days in this free nation I'm afraid to because big brother may be watching. We can't even elect the president we want without the government's approval.

 Happy Friday all.

Been MIA the last few days.  New upgrades on computers at work cause another OT blackout.  Just got it corrected.

Mornin gents

Ed, I've lived too long? This coming from the Great Grandfather of most rocks.

This was supposed to be my last day at the port, but my parole has been denied. May have to serve out my full life sentence. No crying after today.

Things are really starting to circle the drain here at Stanley Black & Decker.  They've recently closed Spenymore and Idstein design centers overseas stopped several fluff departments here and there is probably layoffs in the near future.   Tariffs are starting the avalanche and being passed straight thru as price increases.  Our Employee discount has all but disappeared... Ouch

Oh and moral is at a all time low too, people are leaving in droves on their own....

And I was hoping for a power assisted slide into retirement.....  Cry

Bud, hopefully some good news will come out of the G20 this week.

As far as getting even goes, you can't beat the Federal Government, there is already a lawsuit with the State, and the port hasn't done anything wrong yet.

Afternoon gents.

Been raining buckets here today. Temps aren't bad, but you can't go out without getting drenched.

Afternoon gents.
It's taken me all morning to get here with the slow service.

Overcast, cold, with scattered drizzle.

Here I am at work when it was supposed to be the first day of not being at work, BUT it is the first day of the new countdown. What ever the launch day is.

Howdy Deck!!!  Hope your well as well as your brood!

Hope everyone had a better weekend then I did....
Daughter's Ex flipped this weekend, pulled a gun on his new wife and threatened her cause she found his hidden bank account with his party money and called him on it!!!!  He took off and hasn't been seen since.

His new wife was so POed she called and told my daughter.  Now my daughter is trying to file at the courthouse so she doesn't have to deliver Aiden to an unknown this weekend.  All this after dragging us all to court the day before turkey day and whining about having to drive so far to pick him up (it was mid point but not good enough for him).  Cops are looking for him caused she pressed armed assault charges.
What a piece of work....

Then sometime after I did laundry yesterday my water heat decided to rupture.  I could barely shower this morning.  When I went downstairs to check I stepped into an inch of water in the basement.  I could hear the water running but not see where it came from but when I shut off the supply at the well tank the flow stopped.  I have a 3pm appointment at the doctor's I can't miss so I'll be vacuuming my little grinch heart out when I get home....  then starts the repairs.... Ouch   Angry

sorry to hear that bud.  Sounds like your daughter has pretty good grounds to get the custody arrangement modified, though.

Just when your feeling down, along comes somebody that's far worse off than you and cheers you up cause it's them and not you.

Just kidding Bud. That really sucks when Bad Fortune decides to take a big ole dump on you, and Bad Fortune must now feel better after visiting you.

Thanks guys, I've been feeling like a snowball rolling down a long hill.....  Along with the ruptured waterheater I found a bad float switch in the basement upflush tank so naturally it too was flooded then as I was vacuuming up all the water I burned up one Shop Vac and one Bissell carpet cleaner while pulling out over 50 gallons of water from the carpets down there.  The carpets are still soaked....

The flooded upflush tank turned out to be the float switch and not the pump.....

I thought I blew a fuse when the shopvac bought it,  looking i found a tripped breaker but it keep re-tripping.  When I looked closer I saw it was the Dosing pump circuit and knew.....

Sure enough the Dosing tank was flooded outside which means the septic tank was too..... About the only redeeming feature to my septic system is that just about the the Dosing tank fills up I get gravity drainage into the sand mount.  That prevents sewage from backing up into the house, thank God!

Anyway, $130 later I've got the tank pumped out so I can get to the defective sewage pump.

Now back to the original problem.....  new water heater Ouch

Priced them out at $400 to $1200!!! ConfusedAngry

2nd problem - new float switch  $32
3rd problem - new sewage pump $250-400

You guys starting to understand why I was feeling like a snowball? LOL

I froze overnight so my utility pump is probably frozen too... Ouch

Stress levels have been better I must admit.... Embarrassed

Had I known what I do now I would have filed an insurance claim and had ServicePro come in and deal with it, but frankly I'm afraid of what it might do to my rates.... Confused
