Oh, don't even get me started on that bullsh*t! We're only on public sewer right now and still have our own water, but when you force people from a large rural area, most of whom have perfectly fine septic systems, to spend well north of 6 grand to install all the crap just to hook up, you're getting anal raped without lube. Nearly 7 grand down the sh*tter just to get hooked up and then they charge you $210 every quarter. And right after all this was completed a few years back, the women who was in charge of the pubic water/sewer finances got caught embezzling like 60K from the department. Nice to see our hard earned money going to that crap, on a local level.

[QUOTE=budperm]Who here uses Trail Cameras? I'm starting to research them and need user input....[/QUOTE
I just picked up a couple to mess with this fall. Just got two cheepos (Bushnell Essential E2). They worked great. Browning also has some decent ones. Reconyx may be at the top, but they are expensive.

I'm just at the starting stage of researching trail cams.
Being pretty cash poor for the foreseeable future, I want to identify the better low cost units before I lay down any ducets... I'm not interested in any super fancy figures like Cloud or Wifi, just good battery life, sensitive trigger system and decent photo quality... Seems like there are conflicting reports on several models..... I'd like to stay below $150 a unit too... Currently on my list are The Moultrie panoramic 150 and the Browning Strike Force. Fer instance: Browning Strike Force has either excellent reviews or terrible ones with no in between... i also seems that They die or change sensitivity within just a couple of months and stop working... Apparently there is quite a build quality issue with them.... |

The trigger system seems to be one of the most important functions for good operation...

OOoo OOOo, do tell!!!! What brand is he associated with? From what I'm seeing the Moultrie panoramic 150 is pretty high up the list with 150º of trigger sensor zone where most top out at 55º

38* and nasty windy cold in Waco. It feels way colder out there! Damp with a bad wind. And as usual most INDOOR Texans are running around with hardly any clothes on. ( They run from their car to the building. ) I don't know why these people don't dress for the weather. ( Well, it's because they don't work OUTSIDE. Today people who work outdoors are wearing Carhartts and hoods and gloves and stuff---I am all dressed in a Pendleton shirt and a vest and a Woolrich coat! I ain't getting the flu...)
I'm working indoors at the YMCA but I'm still dressed so that I can walk home if my truck breaks down.... ( Too many years of living in the country, and forty years of working outdoors. ) |

Scrummy, I think your weather is about a week behind us, so don't put your winter coat up, and keep your rain gear handy too.
