Mornin gents. Weather is pretty much like yesterday, overcast and cool with a chance of rain or storms. |
|
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Morning all, looks a gorgeous day here. Be in the house largely though as the contractors start tomorrow to repair our water damage so we will need to clear some rooms. Had a great day shooting at Bisley yesterday, think we may have converted some people to rifle shooting! Gorgeous weather, people getting bullseyes. Went to the pub and sat outside having beers in the sun afterwards. Some days, life is good. Scrummy

Morning folks,
Gorgeous day here in London, bright blue skies and sun. Currently 60F and on the way to 85 they say! How was everyone's weekend? Mine looks like it might have been expensive... my good lady likes my .223 CZ but things it "needs a better scope" Apparently my 3-9x36 Swaro is not quite upto the same job as my buddies NightForce NXS 8-32. Looks like I might also need a cheek riser. Oh well ;) Scrummy

Morning Peddler, Yes, I guess so. I have a spare 3-12x50 Duralyt with an illuminated Number 4 ret. I will see if that is acceptable. After that I think we might try a 6-18x50 Meopro. Wondering where I can mail order beads… Part of me also wonders if the bipod wasn't a bit tall. Scrummy |

Mornin gents. Kinda overcast here. Started at 70 and going to 82 with high humidity. Shot a fun match Sat AM. Don't know the results yet, but I had fun. I got razzed on the El Presidentei stage for missing one shot. I reminded all my tormentors that I had no penalties on a stage that almost all of them had an average 3 or more penalties. It was all in good fun though. We were supposed to fly down to Owensboro with friends for Bar-B-Q Sat. PM, but the weather was kind of iffy so we ate at 5 Guys Burgers instead. Next we went to an ice cream joint and I ODed on a turtle sundae. Sunday I met a friend at KCR and we shot some guns, and that's all I'm gonna say about that, but I did leave a decent pile of brass there.

Sounds like a fun weekend Lynn. I got a little trigger time in too this weekend. had a few to sight back in. Got a little close but the winds were gusting 15-20 so I'll fine tune my zero's one afternoon with no wind.
I also got to shoot my little 442 j frame... and killed a copperhead. I load 2 rounds of the #4 shot shells in it every time I mow and use it when I can't get the mower over them.....
Scrummy - Yeah prone with a 9-13 may be a bit high. I'd recommend a 6-9 for prone. Or upgrade to an atlas that you can cant the legs on and adjust more for height. |

Plus one on the 6-9 Harris if you need a bi-pod quick. The Atlas is a more precision bi-pod and is much slower to deploy. I have the V-8 on Little Sassy and it's the next best thing to shooting off a rest.
