Mornin gents.

In the 40s today, overcast with a chance of showers and/sleet.

Had a lousy match Saturday, and I liked to have froze to death. (Note to self: remove insoles from boots before drying). Had some pistol issues that slowed me down, and I was just slow. It just wasn't my day.
Maybe I should have gone hunting instead.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

BF..... Pistol issues?  Which one were you using?

Morning all.

Glad you made the connection and got some game Scrum

Mornin gents.

Overcast, wet, temps in 30s, above freezing, but below comfortable.

Was using a RIA 1911A2 9mm. The pistol worked fine, the operator just didn't work right. That and I need to fine tune the slide stop I installed.

G, the hunting has been good in that we are seeing lots of doe with little ones and a bunch of spikes. Just nothing to shoot yet. Still plenty of time and the southern zone opens this Saturday.

Mornin gents.

In the 20s and low 30s and not apt to get much warmer with freezing rain and lite snow on the way this evening.

So far Mrs. BF has seen 3 huge bucks in our area, with the smallest being an 8 pointer on the driveway. One of these days I'll have to go hunting again. Right after I throw all the relatives off the property.

only reason I don't hunt that much.... to much work to process the deer afterwards.

I'll normally harvest 2 or 3 in December just for some meat in the freezer but its a pain to do all the processing afterwards.... pulling the trigger is the easiest

Agreed, and in my case, I have to be careful where I shoot them so they don't end up at the bottom of heart attack hill, or it can't come out thicket.

Morning Gents!!!

I'm sitting here wondering why I bothered to come to work today....

Got here @ 5:45 am and by 8:00 am the impending Northeaster had started with sleet and freezing rain.
Hadn't expected it to start so early!!!  They are calling for 2 to 6 inches locally.  1st snow event of the year... Ouch

Does appear many people bothered showing up for work....
Someone explain to me why Myself and others who commute over 25 miles each way make it to work ON TIME and other who live across the street from work don't bother getting out of bed?!?!?! Ouch   Angry

Mornin’ Bud, they are calling for 5-9” here and we were planning to hunt tomorrow. Guess I’ll make that decision when I wake up tomorrow.
