Nothing like Goobermint taxes to mess up ones day.

BF, glad it's not as bad as predicted.

"G", I guess being popular and good has it's drawbacks!

Texas Deck returns to the foray! Holy feces Batman.

Skip is so popular, they named a peanut butter after him!

I won't have as much time on the compooter, but I'll have daily access, which I don't have now. Still haven't changed my plans, but so far it hasn't been the PITA I thought it might be. I may have to kiss some ass to keep it that way, but that's what old cops do; (Mr.Ass KissBeltFed) to survive. Oh well. that's life on the highway to the danger zone.

so what will you daily duties entail?

Depends on what day it is, but for the most part right now, after roll call, which seems to take 45 minutes to an hour, I go work on guns. I'm still in the retraining process, so I get to ride around with some of the Captains or K-9 units to get familiar with the port; so much has changed. Then there are the breaks, meetings, and workout time (optional), that I take advantage of. Man am I sore, I haven't lifted weights in at least 8 years.

They wanted me to find fire hydrant covers on the ramp (hydrants are under the ramp surface and covered with a heavy steel plate) and inspect them to make sure they were on correct. Somebody had removed and replaced a cover incorrectly so when you ran over it, the cover would flip half open. Not a good thing on an aircraft ramp. I'm not a fire fighter, and not about to even try to learn, so I pointed at the electric outlet cover in the middle of the assembly room and said, "There's one now". They decided I wasn't the one for that job.

I am learning a lot from these fire fighters. So far I've had 3 naps, and never worried about getting caught. I couldn't do that at my last post. Don't get me wrong, they have chores, training, and jobs to do, but it doesn't take them long to do it, and when they're done, well, they are professional goof offs.

Being transferred at work to another location about 5 times in size.... been working on wrapping up fiscal year reports and working on missing items from the new locations books.  Work load is about 10 times what it was a few weeks ago. Finally just decided to take a few and relax.

I hope this new 5 fold workload comes with a 5X raise!!!  Wish you luck!

Morning Skip,  I'm just finished showering fixing my morning MUG of Joe and strolling out to the mailbox to send off a Pension Retirement request to my first ever Pension (Safeway Food Stores).  Unfortunely that one is Union based and severely under funded...  I might not get anything at this point.  I retired from Safeway in 1989 when I moved to PA and built my second house.  In '89 I was told that I'd be getting $250-$300 monthly.  Funding is down to 15% so I'm probably SOL.  Nothing ventured nothing gained...

On a positive note...  I'm writing this on my resurrected Desktop.  The one that was running Win 7 and was corrupted.  I replaced the main 120G SSD with a new 500G SSD.  We made a bootable thumbdrive at work (it only took us about 5 and a half hours).  With that it turned out to be a very simple load.

So I loaded up Windows 10 Pro.  I found a site that sells Global SW Keys www.VIP-Scdkey.com and only had to pay $14.10!!!  I'll be downloading Office 2019 next...
