Can you can the rings type and use the Bushnell .22 rimfire rifle scope on heavier guns like a centerfire types: Marlin 336??

That did not come out the way I wanted it. Can you change the ring mounts and use the Bushnell .22 rimfire  scope on a centerfire rifle like the 336? Since normally would only sight the gun in and then hunt with the 336 there would not be a lot of firing of the 336.

  You could do that BUT no telling how long the scope would stay dependable (MAYBE not when you need it the most!!).  I recently had an entry level scope not last 7 rnds on a HVY .308.  You'd be taking a chance.
