Unable to reach TASCO service center.

It seems they are now out of business have contracted their repairs to ABO who does not take questions from customers.

I think I have a scope problem but I'm not sure.

I have an older 12x TASCO with adjustable AO.

When I put it on a .22 rimfire after many years in storage the rifle was shooting very low.

So I began adjusting the elevation but soon (40 clicks) it stopped clicking and turned smoothly for several revolutions before starting to click again.

I lost track of how many time that happened but eventually my shots were at correct elevation.

My question is does this scope have a "bottom" and a "top" of the adjustment range?

Should it reach a point where the dial refuses to turn because it's reached the end of its adjustment for that direction?

I say that because it seems like there should be a middle point for the adjustment range but I don't know how to find it.

Your dials should have ending points. Sounds like the Tasco needs Rx. As SVT stated above, contact Bushnell C.S.

Thanks for the answers.

I will contact Bushnell and see what they say - IF I can reach a live person.

These days that is not always certain.

You should be able able to reach a live person,,,but as for actual 'customer service',,,well, you know,,,it is Bushnell after all. My limited experience w/ them has been hit or miss, mostly miss.

I've got a couple old scopes I might be persuaded to have overhauled.
I'd be interested to hear how you make out.

My scope is old in terms of years but it has not been used that much.

I'm not expecting too much from Bushnell since I may not communicate the problem to them well enough and besides maybe the person I'm speaking to wouldn't understand anyway.

Of course the technicians would know but they are busy fixing scopes not talking to customers like me.

I'll keep you posted.
