Greetings to everyone.
I registered to inquire about the Pride-Fowler Rapid Reticle scopes. These seem like a great idea if you happen to predominantly use one of the loads they are designed for. I have not found any reviews however. What is known of their quality, or lack thereof? |

I just received their 22 LR model with rapid reticle-- and it's so nice, it's going on a 20 BR XP-100 coyote handgun i'm putting together. IMO they have the best ballistic reticle out there-- sort of a mini-Horus Vision style. Look here--- www.rapidreticle.com
The reticle can very easily be adapted to any trajectory (elevation as well as windage) in MOA calcs. Jacob Gottfredson is gonna have a writeup soon in PS magazine on them. I believe their gonna do away with the yardage designations and simply # the elevation stadia as 1,2,3, etc. I LOVE the windage system. |

Thanks.
How do you rate the optical clarity, mechanical precision, and durability of the scope? Also, are there distributors, or are all purchases direct? |

Since i just received it, and it's going on a gun that's not built yet, i can't answer some of your questions, but it's supposed to be 6061 aluminum body, fully-coated lenses, and the clarity seems excellent-- detected very little parallax-- much better than some scopes i've used. Turrets are low profile, but this particular model has no revolution indicator. Clicks r sharp with no backlash-- but indicator marks don't line up perfectly. All in all seems to be a quality unit--especially for a 22 RF scope.
