Actually, I'm pretty sure that most of us wouldn't think your a pig.  At least not those of who suffer from the same malady as you appear to have....CFD (Chronic Firearms Deficiency) it's a disease, according to my "lovely and charming," that afflicts firearms enthusiast and afficionados.  A mental condition Loco that has removed such terms as "too many," "enough" and "can't afford it" from our vocabulary when discussing firearms.  This is not to be confused with AFD (Acute Firearms Deficiency).  This malady seems to only inflict certain individuals and has somehow managed to limit their "need" to a particular firearm (i.e. brand, model, caliber or guage, finish, and special features).  Personally, I find AFD to be more alarming than CFD because while both diseases require firearms acquisitions, CFD is usually much easier to treat.  Oh, I forgot to mention that both diseases are generally incurable.  They have been know to go into remission when treated with the following "remedies": marriage, divorce, threat of divorce, wife's and/or girlfriend's pregnancy, relocation, or loss of employment.  A warning to those who may be planning to use one of the forementioned treatments... A serious case of the withdrawal symptoms has been known to occurr in almost 100% of cases treated with said "remedies."  The last "remedy" is the most severe as it can cause cases of SAFD (Sudden Acute Firearms Divestiture) this disease is accompanied by the following symptoms; uncontrolled cryngReally Sad, knashing of teeth, banging head into wallHead Banger, hand wringing, deep soul searchingSad (which one next) and fasting.  The last symptom seems only to afflict single, unmarried, childless individuals.

Gotcha!  Mine is a 1943 CZ-24 8mm  i about the same shape as teh one pictured.  Bought on impilse about 10 years age for $99 at Dunham Sports.  They had a wood pickle barrel of them and I spent about an hour picking out the best one.  It sat in the closet untouched till last year!  Hate the sites and with my eyes can't hit much pass 50 yds.  She does have a nice solid feel though!

Ed whats the name of this gunshop your in love with?   It looks like it has about half as many guns as Redding Hardware In Gettysburg or Taylor's Trading Post in Biglerville.

Taylor's keeps about 3000 guns in stock.
Reddings keeps about 2000.

Those pictures are from the Internet.

Lock's Gun Shop.  Plenty of guns...( 400 guns downstairs or in back that have not been cataloged and priced and can't fit in the store...) .  Full service gunsmith, restorations, stock work, metal work, re-blue, case harden.....whatever.  A bunch of nice used guns.

A sample:

A restored Sedgely Springfield that is unbelievable.....$2995.  Shocked

A closet full of shotguns behind glass that go for about $4000.....             Poker

.......I can't remember them all......I want to rummage around downstairs with a flashlight........Bucky

John Lock lives about 300 yards from me on the same street!!    Shocked         Big Grin

It's a safe bet but from what you've posted from Lock's.... Seems the guy has excellent taste and isn't just a come one come all buyer of used guns!

I like Reddings alot.  Can get lost in that store for days.  It wasn't till my 3rd visit that I discovered there really was a full blown old fashioned hardware stor all the way in the back.  Next door in a separate building they have a large bow proshop and indoor range.
Only problemn is their have been there forever and are old fashioned...close at 5pm.

Its been 10 years but I used to service Einstein Trauma center, Brookhaven labs DeJohns Labs in Upper Darby and Levittown labs just off 13.

Used to love to eat at the Dallas Diner on 13 just north of 276.  Great prime rib and cheap!
run by a nice greek family.  Wonder if its still there?

Actually, with the exception of about a two dozen guns ( several pre 64 Winchesters---mostly levers, some old Colt's, quite a few single actions of all breeds, old double shotguns, semi-auto pistols [ no Berettas!!], a few bolt rifles, army surplus Mausers, 1917s, Springfields,  ) , John really doesn't have the stuff that I am really looking for....like CZ 550s, Sakos, .....and other stuff. He just has neat IMPULSE BUYS!!!!

I think the Ruger is a handsome rifle.    I like the CZ action.  I do think the Ruger looks a little sharper......18 1/2 inch barrel, tho.

Wish we had some decent shops around here. There must be at least 15 within a 25 mile radius. Most have crap (plastic or bargain basement specials). There is one decent shop, but his hours of operation don't fit my schedule well (it's part time). Anyway, that's what they made Gunbroker for (I guess).

The barrel needs to be 4 inches longer.
