Subject: Fw: Dallas solution to illegal aliens

This is a good easy solution ... no politicians ...............

RE:  Dallas solution to illegal aliens

I have a friend who is president of his homeowners association in the Dallas , Texas suburbs.  They were having a terrible problem with litter near some of his association's homes.  The reason according to my friend is that six very large, luxurious new houses are being built right next to their community.

The trash was coming from the Mexican laborers working at the construction sites and included bags from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-11, plus coffee cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc.  He went to see the site supervisor and even the general contractor, politely urging them to get their workers not to litter the neighborhood, to no avail.  He called the city, county, and police and got no help there either.

So here's what his community did.  They organized about twenty folks, named themselves The "Inner Neighborhood Services" group, and arranged to go out at lunch time and "police" the trash themselves.  It is what they did while picking up the trash that is so hilarious.

They bought navy blue baseball caps and had the initials "INS" embroidered in gold on the caps.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what they hoped people might mistakenly think the letters really stand for..

After the Inner Neighborhood Services group's first lunch time pickup detail, with all of them wearing their caps and some carrying cameras, 46 out of the total of 68 construction workers did not show up for work the next morning -- and haven't come back yet.

It has been ten days now.

The General Contractor, I'm told, is madder than hell, but can't say anything publicly because he could be busted for hiring illegal aliens.  My friend and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating federal personnel, because they have the official name of the group recorded in their homeowner association minutes along with a notation about the vote to approve formation of the new subcommittee -- and besides, they informed the INS in advance of their plans, and according to my friend, the INS said basically, "Have at it!"

SO, FOLKS, I THINK YOU COULD SAY THAT TEXAS INGENUITY TRIUMPHS AGAIN!

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes....... 12 million illegal aliens are depending on you.

No apology for sending this! ! ! After hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. I'm NOT sorry if this offends anyone because this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP -- please pass this along.  Come through like everyone else. APPLY FIRST - Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past -- and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

That works for me. I hope they didn't move here to Ga. though. Nah probably went further west. I hear California is interested in having as many as they can get.

A couple of friends of mine were working in the San Wakeen Valley (I know I mis-spelled it) in Cal. many years ago. There was a bar in the middle of nowhere that they liked to go to, the problem was, so did the illegals. One night the bar was crowded with illegals and they didn't think they could find a place to sit. One of them walked in the bar and held the door open while the other one stood outside and yelled BORDER PATROL. Two minutes later they walked into an empty bar and ordered their drinks.Bandito

Mexicans are a double edged sword, as far as I'm concerned. They ARE doing jobs that Americans WON'T do and are doing so at a decent wage!

I get tired of people popping off about "Messicans" working for $4 bucks an hour and thats the reason business owners hire them.

In MY world...the world of construction...these guys are busting their asses and bringing home a decent check. (The same money an American would be making, if they would go out there and do it.) I'm not sure of the percentage that pay taxes, but it's higher than you'd probably think.

Sad truth is, here in the South, we have a bunch of ass sitters that won't show up, don't have a drivers license, can't work a full week because of a myriad of personal issues, poor or no work ethic and have to go to court for some BS every other day.
If you run a construction business in my AO, you will most likely have Latinos working for you. They show up, shut up and work.
They are quick learners and aren't afraid to jump in there and work in 100 degree days....EVERY day!

NOW....they are typically messy, ram jam, throw it together, devoid of craftsmanship, safety be damned kinda dudes too, but, general contractors aren't paying for quality any more, they want SPEED and PRODUCTION.
They are also a drain on every conceivable social program and have kids coming out the wazoo. I get it. I also resent the fact that they came here illegally and undermined the legal system and WONT integrate into American society, as they should.

I blame LBJ's Great Society, in part for this ordeal. Americans have learned it's easier to sit on your ass and collect your knocked up girl friends welfare check, than it is to show up and work for it.

The above is based on my personal experience. I've been doing concrete work for nearly 23 years and I live it.
I know theres hard working whites and blacks and I'm speaking generally, but theres a reason Latinos are working these jobs and it ain't because they are doing so for a ridiculously low wage, folks. It's because they want to work.

no fragging from me.  generally the truth.  I have no desire or hardfelt feelings towards anyone in the US "legally".  I do have hard feelings to those that employ anyone that is illegal to bypass the system.  IF and only IF we make it that they can't get a job without citizenship, more will become legal.  IMO

Although that still doesn't address the lazy arse MF's that live on the system

OK, why do you hold a business owner to a higher standard than you hold your  Federal and State government?
Why should he be punished for employing someone that the State gives a drivers license too and the Feds allowed to come here by not enforcing border laws?
Riddle me that, Batman?  Wink

So, the nations immigration enforcement now belongs to Joe's Lawn Care who employs illegals (with State drivers licenses) to mow grass because American citizens typically won't do it??
Why should he care, if the gubmint don't?? Why can't the business owner ASSUME that the person is here legally, if he provides proper ID and a SS#.
MOST all illegals do have a drivers license and a fake SS card, you know.
He just needs guys to cut grass, for Pete's sake!!

That dog won't hunt for me, Gents. I'm sorry. Fining business for hiring illegals is chicken sh*t politics!

I'm not saying its up to Joe Blow.  If they give all that its fine to hire them.  how else would he know they where illegel you wouldn't.  I'm more or less talking about the people that KNOW they are illegal and are paying them cash under the table and not paying taxes, thats what gets me.  yes the US goberment is nothing but utter bullcrap when it comes to its immigration policies and until we get some people in office that care it will just keep getting worse.

I'm with you, but we out here need bodies to work! And most people in business are paying a decent wage to get that done.
Don't believe the BS from talk radio people telling you these Mexicans are working for virtually nothing either. That's just not the truth.
We need to staff concrete, brick, framing crews and various other trades with people that WANT and WILL work.
I don't give a hot damn where they come from! I'd MUCH rather give a job to a able bodied American, but I fired EVERY American that I ever hired due to the issues mentioned in my earlier post.

MOST, and I mean close to 100 percent of the Mexicans around the job sites here are illegal. Some Honduran and South American Latinos are legit, but not the Mexicans.
Thats a fact. A sad fact, but a fact.

I personally know ZERO legal Mexicans, to the best of my knowledge.

The system has been jacked up for a long time. The democrats want them for votes the republicans want them for labor.  30 yrs ago I could stop a van load of illeagals in San Antonio and couldnt get border patrol to deport them from there. They simply can not afford the cost of enforcement. How about we brign our troops home and take over Mexico and split it into 4 or 5 more states. Lets take it all the way down to the panama canal and build a shorter taller fence.

Illegals are a thorny issue. We have them coming in from Zimbabwe and Mocambique. The borders are very porous and they just stream through.
Mostly they work for less pay and they work harder then the locals. Every now and then one or two gets upset for being "exploited" and takes a machette or something nasty and hacks the boss.
The locals also get pretty upset with the aliens for stealing their jobs. Then we have xenophobia attacks and the aliens get robbed, stabbed and burnt out.
I personally do not like to employ them, as I do not understand their culture. I also get angry that they are happy to vote a-holes into power in their own countries, who stuff it up, and then they want to come and work in ours.
At best a difficult problem.

Wes hit the nail on the head. The government does not want to deal with the illegal issue because they're beneficial to both parties. Dems = votes and the GOP = cheap labor.

It's time States take matters into their own hands. The time of waiting on the government to do something is over. It's up to the States (like Arizona) to enforce what the federal government won't. I am sickened that a US administration would SUE, f**king SUE, a US State over a law when it's just an extension of what the federal law is (that isn't enforced).

Concur, 8!
A sticky wicket, to be sure.

A machette?!?
Most that will happen here is you might get a taco slung at ya, if they get upset.
:)

I'm with you all that want something done with the problem, but its not as simple as Glen Beck and others make it out to be when they say "run 'em off".
For better or worse, they fill a ginormous void here in my area, in regards to the labor force.

I still don't get how folks want to bag on business owners for hiring them, when the state and the feds created a perfect storm in the first place.
I know over 100 Mexican illegals that waltzed into the NC DMV and came out with valid drivers licences.
Both state and feds give them food stamps, subsidized housing, FREE medical care, and then rattle their sabers at the business owners and threaten them with sanctions.
And, as was illustrated on this post, most well meaning Americans support burning business for hiring them.
????
If the gubmint kicked the moochers off the tit and they had to work for a check, secured the border, then maybe we can institute some form of sanctions against business.

Cheap, i understand the mentality but just because person A (the government) doesn't help fix the problem, doesn't make it right for person B (the business owner) to continue f**king up the system. It's like passing the buck down the line. If people stopped hiring these asshats, they would stop coming. It really IS that simple.

BUT, please read this first, i understand that you couldn't do business so again, i completely understand where you are coming from, doing the work you do. I just think it's wrong to put the blame entirely on the goverment, although they are the main reason why we don't have a better system.

Shooter, illegal commercial concrete finsihers make as much as the American finishers.
I can't speak for the Mexican fruit pickers in Cali, but "cheap labor" is a moot point here in my AO.
They have jobs because they show up and work.
Concrete laborers start around $8 an hour. Seasoned form carpenters and finishers go for about $12-$16 an hour.

Nobody I know pays an illegal minimum wage.
Its always more.

Posted By: shooter07
Date Posted: August/11/2010 at 06:36
Oh, i know, i'm not arguing the wage scale that people seem to throw out there all the time.
Do you want to know why the average American won't work for that???

It's because you can now sit on your ass for 2 years on unemployment, making far more than that wage. And people wonder why Joe the Plumber won't get off his ass to work hard labor. Our entitlement society, where freebies are handed out EVERYWHERE with no control or oversight, is the reason why illegals are the only ones who scoop up the work. Younger generations are getting more and more spoiled and are used to having everything done for them up through high school and even moreso into their 20's nowadays.

If you took away the social welfare programs and told people you had 6 months, not 2 years to get back out there, you'd see more whites on the labor force imo.

Well Shooter, we'll have to agree to disagree on how "simple" this problem is.
When I see a valid state drivers licence, a social security card, what other I'd should I ask for?
Should I water board perspective employees to see if their here "legally"??

C'mon man...

Posted By: shooter07

I'm not saying it's literally THAT simple. But, i gave your reasons in my last post why all you can hire are illegals. Entitlement society.

Illegal immigration will always be a problem that will (IMO) NEVER be fixed.  The system is working as designed by our Federal Govt.

Why? The federal govt clearly does not want to fix it or as Cheap has stated, they would force states to enforce the laws and policys we have.  Illegals would not be able to get license, social services etc... extended to them  PERIOD.  They take from our societys support system and benefits without putting anything into it.  They pay no taxes.

All the other issues are just symptoms and side issues all attributed to being here illegally.  Exploitation etc... all to be expected.  Some work very hard, some work for fair pay etc.. They take jobs that most do not want and some get exploited.  I personally would not want to pick tomatos in southern Florida for 10-14 hours a day.  I have seen those people in action when I lived down there.  Its back breaking HOT low low low pay work.  They load up in busses in the morning and come back at night.  Their hands are torn up.  But day in and day out they do it.  TRY getting some good ole white bread kids out there for that.  Good luck!  EVERY single person on welfare should be made to do these jobs and many others.  Try (as Cheap) stated, laying concrete for a living or roofing in the heat.  These are back breaking jobs.

Interesting fact is that as long as the crime is in check and the economy is humming along, immigration is just a nuisance.  BUT economy tanks and now it's at the forefront of the news.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for enforcing immigration laws.  Enforcing what we have in place would be a huge step in the right direction.

When you compare illegal immigration to what slavery was about it's a big step up.  If you want to have a really good conversation about Illegal immigration just ask an American Indian.  As far as they are concerned, WE ARE all illegal aliens!

Scooter, good read.
I would say that some do pay taxes, as I stated before, but most don't and take a hell of a lot more out than they put in.
I believe there's also a tax law that allows illegals to pay taxes as well.

I'm NOT an apologist for Mexicans, but if we rounded up ALL of the illegals and shipped them out of this country, the construction industry, that's hanging by a thread here in Charlotte, would crash.
Probably beyond recovery, due to the fact that the local legals simply won't do the jobs that the illegals would leave.
I'm OK with that too.

I know some of the things I've said here are tough to swallow, but I see it day in and day out.
The US has become a nation of lazy, worthless, moochers, that simply won't work, unless forced.
The young men needed to work in heat, mud, rain, cold, dust, etc are just not around anymore.

I honestly think if welfare bennies were cut, these people would steal and rob before going to work with us out here.

I have a question mark,
Say we did round up every illegal in the country and send them away, all of them not just one group.
Do you think that if the citizens that are to lazy to do something now will see more jobs open and go after them even if it cost the employer more to pay them.  Lets say its gonna cost that employer more to do the job because of the labor cost increase.  It will cost everyone bidding on that jobs price to come up. it will make more money flow through american hands and the economy will start to rise?
yeah it would take time but i think it would work.  I know some say no there are still those that would do nothing. But if the ESC saw all these open jobs they would start cutting off benefits and start follow up on recepients to make sure they still are doing the required 2 job interviews a week it would work, IMO

I know this is your lively hood and you have a lot of better knowledge on this subject so I am really taking in what you say.

Graham, as I've said, I don't think that illegal pay is low, by industry standards.
IMO, folks here in my field just need people to show up and work.
I've never had a man working for me that didn't make $8 an hour.
Most of my guys were working for an average of $12 an hour.
I started in this industry for about $7 an hour, 20 plus years ago.
I was a "lead" concrete finisher making $11 an hour in the 90's.

Fast forward to today....
I see youths working at McDonalds. How much are they making?

How much is enough? You start low and as you get more proficient, you get more money, in my industry.
Problem is, these punks want to make $20 an hour right out of the gate and that just isn't going to happen whether your legit or not.

Don't believe that the illegals are getting paid a few bucks an hour, Graham.
Business owners are willing to pay them the same pay they would pay an Anglo, because they must have workers.
And gladly. Rush Limbaugh would have you believe otherwise, but I KNOW that which I've posted here.

All construction people here are making substantially more than minimum wage, but the pussies at Wendy's aren't going to leave the drive thru to work with me, even though they could make more $$$$.

As an aside, why are there so many adults working at fastfood joints these days?
Thought that was for HS kids and retired folks.

Sorry to jump in here late but I gotta say, immigration is a mess.  I think the states should back Arizona and start fixing the mess.
1.  We have approx 14 million people in this country, that we can't identify.  That, to me, is scary.  14 million people taking jobs from legal Americans.
2.  14 million people getting benefits that hard working, tax paying, follow the rules Americans can't get.
3.  14 cities the size of Dallas, Tx. that are completely illegal immigrants.  Using gas, causing property damage, crime, filling up our hospitals, our schools, prisons, jails etc...
4.  14 million people who believe they have a voice in this country and the right to use it.

Note: I know that all illegals are not bad people but, many are.

We put an illegal in jail, a couple of nights ago, who could barely speak any English and was not working.  He had come over to help build Jerry's World (Cowboy Stadium) and now that work was over, he was looking for something else.  Anyway, when we went to book him in, he had a card (I won't give any names here) that entitled him to $500.00 dollars a month for groceries.  Paid for by you and I.  He does not have to pay the money back and keeps getting it as long as he is here.  I am not a socialist saying that everyone should be getting this handout, or any others, but I am saying that we should not be giving it (our money) to someone who is not even legally here and is being put into jail.

Lastly, I don't think the Mexican flag should be flown in America, I just don't understand how we can allow this.  It's like we are being taken over and we can't even see it.  Explorers used to plant their flag on land they found and claimed it for their country.  I don't like this.

Anyway, thanks for letting me in and I will set back and wait for the whoopin' I am gonna get. Wink

Good copy, Trays.

I agree with you almost entirely. I don't believe that the 14 million have "taken jobs away from legals" though.
I think the lower paying jobs that should have been filled by legal youths between the ages of 18 and 25 have been taken by illegals by default.

That was what I was reffering to earlier. The young "men" in this country, for the most part, are not jumping into construction and the like, to learn a trade.
They would rather go to college or smoke pot and work flipping burgers somewhere and most haven't seen a real day of work in their lives, generally speaking.
These guys are living with Momma and are working at video stores, or convience stores with no real work skills and very little ambition.
The tradesmen now are the Latinos who scooped jobs that were forfited by American youth.

Now, another trend these days are Hispanics that start up their own construction bizz and aren't paying the full bill for workmans comp, insurance, nor taxes.
These guys are able to cut their prices down past whata legit American company can and are taking jobs away and tanking the market price for the rest of us.
Any Mexican will tell you that they would much rather work for a Gringo, than work for another Mexican.

Any hard working American reading this..God bless you.
My rants aren't aimed at you!

Agree 100% about them demanding rights they don't have and we can thank Govco for that.

Mark I think you have the most experienced based and quite probably the most objective viewpoint I have heard on this subject....ever!  I also have to agree with Scooter about most of America's youth being too lazy and pampered to take the hard labor jobs!  I really think we need to seriously curtail our own support system and make those that do benefit from it payback in whatever way they are capable!  If its only to lick stamps so be it!  ONLY those that contribute to that system should be able to benefit from that system!

I also agree with mark that if we kicked all illegals out and cut off all the free assistance programs and unemployment  We would have a collapse of the labor industry and yes a huge jump in crime as the lazies turn to crime as the easier way to put food on the table and or maintain a decadent lifestyle!

I also feel the clean up needs to start with our federal government!  Who's vast majority of jobs where created simply to help reduce unemploment numbers.  Jobs that have somehow become much better jobs that comparable private sector jobs.  Better pay, benefits and job security.  All on the taxes payers backs and beyond there control.

Well said, Bud.

All I'm trying to do is provide a slant from my experience and these things I've posted are things I see everyday.
In fairness, myself and others have probably contributed to the problem indirectly, as Shooter pointed out early on.
But, this hellified mess was caused directly by Govco and their idiotic policies concerning immigration and passing out hand outs to otherwise able bodied American workers.
Its almost as if the powers in Washington had an agenda when they came up with these policies and programs....

I'm on a jobsite in Kannapolis, NC right this second and did a half ass head count of the workers on site.
I'm going to say the Latinos out number Anglos and Blacks 30-1, out of roughly 400 people.
I'd further wager that over 90% of the Hispanics, conservatively are "undoc'd".
I admit that I have no way of confirming who's legit and who's not, but I'd bet Black Betty that I'm within 5% either way from being dead on.

Hey!!! How bout I yell "La migra" and count how many run into the tree line?
;)
Just to keep it "scientific".....

last week a co-worker got broad sided by an illegal pizza delivery guy with zero insurance.. the cop took him in , but now my bud is out the damage to his new truck, and has a broken arm that he has to take care of .. That is what makes me crazy ...Do you also go after the business owner too -- Well , he is ,and I think should  . I imagine there will be an out of court settlement. My great grandparents came here in the late 20's from Europe to escape the issues there. They signed on the dotted line and worked hard to get a leg up .. I have ZERO problem with those that enter the good ole' USA in that fashion.. Those that don't , well, that's why Arizona has done what it has done...

Been there. Was hit broadside by a car full of them. Expired license, and no insurance. They were speeding, (70+) in a 35 with a sight distance problem. I got the ticket, but won in court based on skid marks, and damage, their speed was determined the largest contributing factor. That and the fact that the driver did not show up for court. It happens all the time, and is a factor for our insurance rates being higher, where there is a larger than average illegal resident population.

I not only live in AZ but I am also in the "trades". For the most part, I agree with with Mark. Over my career, I have seen a decrease in young, white people coming into the trades. But in my opinion, wages have not kept pace with the cost of living in my AO, due to the increase of illegals. I have seen rent and property values go up triple since the early '90's but wages have stayed the same.  It flat sucks when you apply for job, and the first question they ask is "do you speak Spanish?"

Are there a lot of Mexican ironworkers, in your AO? Theres a few here, but most ironworker crews are Anglos still.
Kind of like pipe fitters and trim carpenters. These trades are typically non Hispanic HERE.

Not specifically in the Iron trade, but iron is not all I do. I also do steel studs, and the increase in that field has been dramatic. Iron is getting more Latinos, but not many(IMHO they don't like the heights). It is definitely a conundrum. I to have been frustrated with white people that come to work expecting to build nothing more than a paycheck. And I not necessarily convinced that shipping them all out  is going to cure anything(to expensive), but if something is not done to curb the flow, it is going to get ugly. I am also not convinced that it is up to the government( state or fed) or the employers. We as a country do have an ability, no matter what the media tells us.

edit for losing train of thought!
