Those who are truely interested in going on this Hunt please vote for the weekend(S) that you can go, You can vote multiple times but don't vote more than once for each Friday/Saturday listed above.  We are still getting the cost narrowed down but as estimate would be for you room and the hunt, I'd say around $250-300 depending on the # of birds, and if you shacking up and sharing a double room.  We are making some calls to see if we can get a Sunday Hunt availible but I think it will depend on the number of guys we can promise will go.

Also if you can definatly go let myself or Bud know so we can make sure to include you in the info we find and get your input on some of the stuff that comes up.  I can mail anyone who is on the fence a copy of the brochure for this place so just PM me with your Mailing address and I will get it out.  The address fro those looking at how far away it is -
Hyd-a-del Shooting Preserve

Paul are there no exceptions to that?  If its a religious thing or even some law or rule its fine, just asking the question since it would make it easier for commutors to make the trip!

They MAY open up for a larger group, but i was helping Mike with a few dogs earlier this year and he was telling new members that Sunday was a no-go. It's mainly a religous thing. They live right across the road from the grandparents who are very old fashioned and are the original owners of the preserve.

We need to make sure everybody sees this post.  Close bys are Scott & Sons, Earl, AJ, Me, Edurado, Merc (if he visits and see this), Paul, Graham and possibly Roy Finn.  All those except Graham should be within 3 hours drive.  Roy I'm not sure about though.

I'm in, but work the weekends of Oct 15-16th, 29th-30th, Nov 12-13, and 26th-27th (thanksgiving)

19th and 20th of November could work. G has already dropped out of the 22nd-23rd so that leaves the 8th-9th of October to match up.

I just can't do it this time.  I've just spent and am still spending too much money on home improvements this summer plus I do have a fishing trip (10/15 +16) and bow hunt (first week in Nov.) scheduled. But I would like to donate a gallon of refreshment for the ocassion.

AJ all I have is a 12g too.  from what they tell me #4-6 shot is required depending on your choke selection.  Pheasant are tuff!

So you shot this hog in NJ?  how about some pictures?

12 gauge will work fine as long as you don't have your choke full in (ie turkey choke). You want a wider spread for upland hunting.

Ype you have.  Get your truck back yet?  Shouldn't your homeowners Ins cover the stolen personnal stuff?

We're looking at about $150-200 per head plus gas and lodging.  Local hotel there is $30 a night.  Hopefully Ed is interested too, you should be able to carpool and save!

Truck won't be back until end of this week or start of the next, depends on if it needs a new wiring loom.
Nj homeowners rates are sky high my deductible is $1000 so i'm SOL.
Good news is my truck deductible is $100.

Like I said, I'll go in on a membership deal and if we don't have enough interest I'm close enough to go up again on one or more seperate hunts!  Maybe by then Earl will have some shine money saved up! Wink

It's never to cold for the birds, they hunt them until April. Actually the best hunting is in colder weather. The birds sit tighter, and won't run on you as much. I'm open to go any time if it means we can get a handful of people rounded up.

They will close in major storms, like the snow we had last year in February (remember that Bud!).

That could be witch titty cold then!!!  L

Lets see what happens, don't need to jump yet.  Need to get black out dates from the Books...that will probably decide it!

We could do both ya know, a membership plan covers multiple hunts as long a each hunter has at least 4 birds!

Could be pretty damn cold indeed, but no sure thing, it might be friggin 45-50 degrees like in years past. With all the walking, you'll stay pretty warm.

Here is the deal for me.  Deer season (or dear season per Bigdaddy) is out for me as well and Month of October due to work.  I could do December or January BUT, I can't cast my vote yet.  I am waiting on some work related project dates to get firmed up.  I won't know for sure until end of Sept what my commitments will be.  So I don't think I should be casting a vote and steering the date.

p.s.

I have an extra 12 guage if somebody needs one.
