My XD I used to have is going up on GunBroker in a few minutes. This thing is a shooter and has been very well taken care of. I never had an issue out of her, even in the hot, nasty conditions of a TacPro 3-Gun match. There is a laser in the guide rod. If you look closely, there is a small pin on the take-down lever that acts as the on off switch. It is easily accessed by left or right- handed shooters. Ha I am sorry. Stuck in salesmen mode this morning.  It wasnt bad. Fairly accurate, I am just not a fan of laser sights. You can pick up on it very fast with the pulsing dot, even in bright light, so fast acquisition was outstanding. Gotcha. I'm keeping my eye on it but like you the laser ain't my thing.
