This is a sculpture called "The Day The Wall Came Down: A Monument to Freedom," by sculptor Veryl Goodnight. It's located next to the George Bush Library and Museum on the Texas A&M campus. Those are actual pieces from the Berlin wall used in the sculpture. The wild mustangs (cast in bronze) trampling over the rubble of the collapsed wall symbolize the triumph of freedom over tyranny. I took this pic on Friday July 4th while attending an Independence Day celebration there along with Mark (Cheaptrick) and my daughter.

Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

There are some who do not fear death... for they are more afraid of not really living

When you are dead, you don't know you are dead.It is difficult only for others.

It is the same when you are stupid.

Not only is it an excellent picture and sculpture, the statement about freedom is powerful too.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Been great though.
