Hi All,

Am I  correct in thinking that this 3-15x42mm scope, together with Warne's one piece steel 20 MOA Base and Badger steel 30mm rings (.823 "standard" height) will give me a "low" mount equivalent to Talley's aluminum "low" rings (.820 I think) with the aluminum Talley one piece mount?

Hopefully, this should also give me enough clearance to accommodate the Butler Creek caps.

Also, the Warne base looks like it would sit lower on the receiver than the Talley base which would be a plus I would think.

Is this setup a good combination for my Howa?

Thanks for your thoughts!

John

They will be about the same height. You will have plenty of room for lens caps, and might need to build up a cheek rest on your stock a bit. That will depend on your face, and whether it is factory rifle stock which tend to have a slight drop to the comb.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?
