Don't get me wrong, awesome deal, great price, great quality stuff; but this was my first build on this lower, and they changed more than I anticipated in their improvements to a standard lower.
Once together, it was smooth, all good; but I got no documentation and found little online that was helpful.
A few of the changes:
Rear take-down pin changed, is now under the pistol grip, captive behind a hex screw. I like it, much more secure, easier to make stock changes; but you have to shorten the detent spring and fight with it to get it in. I recommend inverting the lower, then - with the shortened spring - pushing straight down and into the threaded hole. I also recommend knowing where the threads grab the screw, so you can orient your allen wrench to grab threads quickly. This will help prevent cross-threading, and firing the spring and tiny screw across the room - never to be seen again (ask me how I know!)
The bolt release is a new, fancy, large--format thing. To install the mag catch, you need to remove the bolt release, else you dork both pieces pretty good (ask me how I know!)
There is an allen screw under the grip that ships in the fully extended position. In that position, it locks the trigger mech in place and does not allow for the installation of the safety lever. Back that screw out before installing trigger/hammer/safety. ( I messed with it a bit, but only got 2 options: "trigger don't work" or "trigger do work", nothing in between I could differentiate.)
Lastly, all the tiny holes in my lower were filled with a tan, chalk-like substance. I had to run a drill bit (turned by hand with a little CLP) to clear the holes before anything would seat properly. DO NOT drill into the lower! I did this by hand to get out the gunk. Do it by hand. Slowly. Or use something else. I found this out before going into the blind front takedown pin hole. If you do not do this, the spring bottoms out way too early and the detent doesn't work right - if you can get it in at all.
Once together, fit is nice, I like the integral trigger guard and maybe the ambi bolt catch will grow on me. Machining is good, everything is where it should be, and fit is nice with all parts now installed and functional.
The matching upper is great, range report shortly.
