Describe to me your perfect hunting scope and why?
As I continue to look for some scopes...there are days when I am overwhelmed with the options. Lets here what you think would be the perfect hunting scope for my 22LR and why.
BTW, I assume general eastern small game (Rabbit, Tree Rat, Coon). I assume everyone has something bigger for longer range ground hog and prairie dogs and ..

The Vortex Diamond Back HP 2-8x would fill that role good IMO. It has a parallax adjustment down to 20 yards. It is pretty small as well, but a bit heavier than your typical rimfire scope.
We have one but its on my wifes .243. But I think it would work very well on a .22.
It is discontinued, but you can still find them if you look around a bit.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I prefer a 2-7 scope the Weaver rimfire 2-7 works just fine.
I currently have a fixed 6x Super Sniper on my 22 that has engraved kenton knobs which allow me to dial in drop for distances out to 100 yds past that I'm wanting more rifle than a 22, but for the distances I use a 22 to hunt or target practice it is very handy.
