Picked up a mint Winchester 52 "b" over the weekend.  Very nice gun for a 22.... needs some glass.... I kinda want to keep with an era correct look and stick with gloss.... objective can't be to large due to the handle throw.... any suggestions?  2-7 or 3-9 nothing to fancy.... will only be really a show piece and rarely shot......  don't want to say I'm cheap but no sense in breaking the bank for one that wont get used.....$ under $250 if possible?

suggestions?

Nice gun Graham. With your stated parameters, the Leupold 4x28 gloss rimfire looks to be it.

I had a Model 52B---one of those Japanese ones---a few years ago. I had a Weaver 4X on it for a while and it looked very correct ( it was a Weaver MicroTrac from about 1979 ), and then I changed it and put a Redfield 6X on it....that looked good, too.

I had Browning bases with Burris Signature rings...High, I'm sure....

Send us a picture.... Bucky

Does it have open sights?

Wish it did have open sights... I know little about it really.

The 52 is a really nice, classic rimfire! Post pics when you get a chance!
