I've got more pieces to my 6.5CM AR build and need help with an adjustable gas block.  The limiting factor is the barrel diameter at gas port is 0.875".  I've found two.  Superlative Arms gas bypass block and JP adjustable gas block.  Does anyone have opinions one way of another on these two or any other I missed?

Supertool, I know you have the gas bypass block.  Can you give an update?  I didn't want to reply to the original thread because it was so old.

The Superlative Arms looks nice, though I have never used any of theirs stuff.  JP is very well known for their stuff, gas blocks included.  I've used a few of their gas blocks and have been happy with the results.

My recommendation is always to get a adjustable block with some manner of captive screw or locking setup.  Shooting the pin out is a great way to learn this lesson, or you can learn by someone else's misfortune and shame.

Nice looking gun.  I really like my Seekins 6.5CM, mild shooter and plenty accurate for a gasser.

The superlative works well. But i have mine set right now to just work as an adjustable gas block. I am not using the bypass. So i cannot say for sure how well that works. I just have not had enough time to play with it yet. Got other guns i am tinkering with at the moment.

Thanks for the input.  I'm leaning towards the Superlative Arms.  It has a locking screw for the adjustment screw.

I'm not in a huge rush so I have time to get more reviews.

I have read that the bypass causes a velocity decrease.  So I want to run mine over my chorno to see if that is accurate.  If it is, I will not be using it that way.  If not and it actually reduces recoil like it claims I probably will give it a go as less recoil is always a good way to go IMO.

You probably read about my issues, but my 6.5 was so over gassed it was causing double fires and pierced primers.  So adjustable is definitely the way to go.

So what parts you choose for it?  Is it all Aero?

Aero upper/lower, LuthAr stock, Ballistic Advantage 18" barrel, Odin Works 15" hand guard.

The bypass function intrigues me.  I'd like to see how it runs for you bypassing.  I watched a video that a fella did and he had chrono data and it looked promising.  I'll look for it and share.

Here's the video I referred to.  Pay no attention to his sound meter test.  His meter wasn't up for the challenge of capturing gunfire.
The meat and potatoes of the video is he lost 69fps unsuppressed not bleeding off vs bleeding off gas.  He lost 37fps suppressed not bleeding off vs bleeding off gas.  He also says the loss from normal gas block and bleed off is only 2fps and concludes that its not so much a loss in velocity but a gain with using it as a restricted adjustable gas block.  He explains better than I can.
