I like the SS 10x you listed, except I am not a fan of Mil Dot with MOA adjustments. I would look at this version instead.

Or this version. Difference being side vs rear focus.

And don't skimp on rings. Get good rings!!

For those distances I wouldn’t go any higher than 10 power on the top end and get better glass. Just me.

10x SS for the win.

I was thinking the same: better glass beats more magnification. If 300 is your max range, 10X will be easier to shoot welll than will a more powerful scope with more picky eye box.

260 is a great caliber, I had one a few years ago and still regret selling it.

Great post.

I don't have any problems with MOA clicks either, for casual range shooting. My old 10x SS w/ MOA clicks has served me VERY well over the years.

Either 10x or 12x SS would be your best option.  I would lean toward the rear focus model.  I do not think the side-focus version is worth extra $100, but YMMV.

The rear focus 10X will be good for shooting paper, Plus save money for ammunition. If using on a hunting rifle the 3-15. It will provide a wider field of view on the low end for moving game, and all the power needed to reach out when you want to.

I really like the 16x  Super Sniper myself, but I might consider using the HD  10x with La Rue LT 719 quick detach rings or Talley Quick Detach rings and run one scope on both rifles or put a 2-7 Redfield on one to plink with and the HD on the other for target work.  I liked my 10x HD a lot but traded up to a HD 5-20 which I like even more.

That is a very good price.  I have two 3-9x42, one with the Mil-Dot (like the one above) and another with the Mil-Quad.  They have been absolutely bulletproof for me.
