i know its a tough topic, but im considering gettin a falcon FFP for my savage 300wsm. all my decent optics, bases and rings ive purchased here from SWFA, w the exception of my sadlak m1a mount. ive got a 10x ss on the m1a now, and i can only say its one of the nicest pieces of equipment of any type i own. it has performed flawlessly. the guys at SWFA have always been helpful w the few ??S ive had. customer service has been top notch.
however , for the savage id really like to try a FFP variable, ive bit my tounge and held out hoping for the variable SS's arrival. i could, and still may, just buy another fixed 10SS. lookin over the other fixed scope options theres none imho id rather have, and moneys not the driving force. value is. springs just around the corner and id like to get a new scope mounted relatively soon, and any kinks worked out, and a dope book built before next hunting season. the poor savage is sportin a fine tasco 6-24 varmint scope now, that has shed its AO adjustment ring, and been epoxyed back together. i did order and recieve a badger 20moa base from here, so at least she'll get to 1 k now. i6t burns my eyes to look through the tasco, after shootin the SS
im just wondering if theres any new news regarding the SS variable. keep me on the hook, so i dont buy that falcon
all the best everyone
