Many years ago there was a few years where the was a scope rating scale. It was based on many parameters

Optical Quality - How bright and clear the scope is.

Specifications - Field of view, eye relief, weight, adjustment travel, etc.

Durability - How do they with stand the test of time.

Special Features & Options - Proprietary items (reticles, design, turrets), Zoom ratio.

Warranty & Customer Service - How good are they.

Things have changed a lot since 2009 with mrad and Christmas tree reticles and large adjustable turrets being big items these days. That is not just for the tactical crowd but more and more they are being used by hunters.

Would it be too large of an undertaking for an update? Would the users here like too see another?

Yes, that was a very useful tool that many OT members and visitors referred to when making scope decisions and comparisons. Would be nice to have a current update.

Would be very interesting. Would Chris et al be willing to undertake it again?  They would be in the best position to gauge reliability from a sales/warranty standpoint rather than relying on strictly anecdotal evidence.

Yest Please! I'd love to see one.

I know back then, that it had to be a lot of work to come up with those. But I sure enjoyed reading them and it helped me make some decisions in regard to the "best bang for the buck".  I would love to see an updated scale.
