... with a Zeiss 6.5-20X50
The Leupold has VERY critical eye relief at 18X, it seems. I can never get a steady 100% sight picture, there's always some "black" creeping in on the edges.
It has always been a little dark and unsharp, as well.
Hope the Ziess is a good step up. Got it new for a reasonable $750.00 - I couldn't refuse!

Thanks Jon,
It will go on a Rem 700 VLS varmint gun (22-250)
Found out something a little distressing, though. The Zeiss has "backwards" target turrets - i.e.Clockwise is up and right.
Seems like I just got sure of myself that Clockwise was down and left.
Wonder if all German scopes are made this way?

yeah, i don't do a whole lot of target shooting - you'll have to remedy that but you will be too distracted by the clear image to worry about that.
happy shooting.

Zeiss moves the reticle up and down by the arrows not point of impact. Kenton puts the order of the numbers going the other direction around the dial, but does not solve the problem if one is habitually indoctrinated in counterclockwise moves bullet poi up. Yup the picture is so pretty who needs to take the shot??
