Hello Folks,  I was hoping for some recomendations in buying a scope for my rimfires. I plan to use this scope for Smallbore Silhouette competition, varmint hunting and for some informal benchrest shooting at 100 yds. I'd like it to close focus to about 25 yards or closer. I'd need it to be able to repeat settings accurately for the silhouette shooting. While AO is a good feature, I hate using the ones that focus at the Objective end of the scope, so it seems the side-focus models would be my preference. The $1000 Leupold is more then I'd like to spend, but I'd prefer something better then a $50 scope. Any ideas out there?  Thanks!!!

Hi; I don't know of any side focus scopes that will focus down to 25 yards. You most likely will have to go with an A.O. scope. The Elite 4200 will focus down to 10 meters. If I had the money, I'd use them on all of my rimfires. I have one 4-16x40mm and like it a lot. If money becomes an object for you as it did me, I also bought the Weaver Classic Rimfire scope in their 3-9x32mm with A.O.
Can you see me now...

I put a bushnell trophy(?) 4-12  airgun on my tx200 quite a few years ago and after working out the mount issues its still going v strong. Itll focus down to your hand, but its on the objective bell. If the Elites are as good you couldnt ask for more.
