Great!!! I had never thought of that before... "If you think you need a new trigger, send it to Trigger..."
Very good.
Dang, wish I had thought of that one...

curious as how the subsonic cycles?? the springs in most 10/22 are set up for the higher velocity stuff. Did you have to tune the bolt spring??

Dale, that is absolutely true with my 10/22. The subsonic will not cycle at all. I've never done any work on it, other than occasional cleaning.

True with mine too dale. Since I just shoot paper with it, I did not care much. I should have mentioned that, thanks for bringing that up.

not to jack this thread, but ive got a mid 70's model 10-22 and for some reason it wont cycle cleanly with the 25 shot clips, it will run through the 10 shot factory clips all day long but slap a 25 rd aftermarket in and she jams every 2-3 shots. so i traded a guy my 25rd for his extra factory 10rd

Hunter I had the same problem, I took the clip apart, stretched teh spring out to make it more powerful with compressed and glued the clip back together and it hasn't jammed up again. |

I have been toying with going with the same set up for my Volquartsen or my Anschutz. And maybe the SS10x HD.
And when you get your Timney trigger installed I would be interested in your thoughts on it. I have been thinking about building a 10/22 in 17Mach 2 and was going to use a Volquartsen trigger, but would be open to other choices. |

How in the world did I miss this.
Man asleep at the wheel again. I have never adjusted any of the springs and the few (x5) 10/22 s I have assembled for subs have always ran just fine. The only issue being the 60gr dirty dirt SSS round that and the fact it is 3/8 the case size. I am curious as to your earlier post does that mean you got out of this??? I ended up with this for my new trial barrel from EAB. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Under scoped as always, just enough to get me out to 500 yards shimmed. Sparky,
Before you buy a Volquartsen 10/22 trigger I recommend you try one if you can. Between three shooting buddies we own seven Volquartsens rifles in all four of the rimfire calibers, some purchased new, some used. Our collective opinion based on first hand experience is that Volquartsen triggers are not match grade. My .22 Magnum, new in August 2012, came complete with creep which so far has not worked itself out after 400 rounds. Based on customer service experiences with Volquartsen and recent conversations with them about this issue, my next move will be purchasing an after market replacement trigger, most likely a Kidd. Volquartsen accuracy is great, their triggers and customer service are not. |

Old thread. I have a Volquartsen 10/22 STD in 22LR and the trigger is very nice. Sorry yours are not. I have not had to use their CS, but a buddy of mine has and they were very good according to him. But that was awhile back. |

I was wondering on this post if anyone else has had troubles with the 10/22 not cycling subsonics and at that which brands were problematic.
Just wondering. |
