Has anyone tried using the Warne QD standard height rings on a Ruger 77/22? I've got an early production 77/22 with open sights that I am going to mount a scope on. With the open sights I like the idea of quick detatch mount as a back-up sight. I am concerned with the small dimesions of the 77/22 that there will be very little clearance between the bolt handle and the QD lever on the scope ring.
Thanks in advance.

All the rugers I have use a Ruger style ring that is different. I dont know if Warne makes anything that will fit you probably should call SWFA. There is an adapter from Burris:

I have Warne rings on a Ruger #1 and they are a nice way to go in a lever detach for the M77/22. The M77 centerfire rings are the same as for the 22.
My 77/22 has the standard Ruger rings. They work just as well as the Warnes as a detachable. You just have to make sure you have a large coin, screw driver or a mult-tool along when out and about. I don't think the Warnes will give you clearance problems on the gun either. |
