yup, I have help a bunch of folks to shoot and that is one thing I will not let them use. It takes the true feel of how the form should be out of the learning curve. It give a false since of security to the shooter.

Nope. I do practice with the what I wear. it really don't get that cold in bow season in Ga or alabama. Indy last year was chilly but a snug fitting top shirt was all I used.

I wear a bug tamer from time to time but i think as long as I practice with it on I should be fine.  Plus my long sleeve tshirts that are camo are snug on the arms.

BTW BigD.   I tried that handheld release i bought on AT and I dont' care for it to much.  I wasn't planing on switching before season but I know i won't be now.  Shortens my LOP and doesn't fit right in my hand.

 Trouble with some beginners is that they'll develop a bad flinch after getting stung just a few times if not wearing a guard. Two things I look for first before I let them shoot are proper draw length of the bow and how they grip.  Both if wrong will turn their elbow right into the line of that string.
