The gun store here has got in 20 Sako A7 Tecomate's all chambered in 300WSM. I have at least two friends on mine that are considering the purchase. Pricing up here lands this version of the A7 about 200 bucks cheaper than the Sako Finlight.
Does anyone have any advice that I can pass on. I just think for a little less that 200 bucks more you can't go wrong with the finlight. Please let me know your thought? Cheers,

Just something to consider - I was kind of in that boat a year or two ago and ended up buying a Tikka T3 lite stainless and put a Bell & Carlson Medalist stock on it(same stock as a Tecomate). You can do that for under $1000 US. |

Price seems a bit off. Around here, the A7 Tecomate's run $400-$450 cheaper than the Finnlights. That said, I recently traded a 85 Finnlight in 7mm-08 that was pretty nice (and shot well too).

We have something in common Just this year I did the same thing. Tikka T3 hunter fluted added the Bell & Carlson medalist tan with black spiderweb had a removable break install . Haven't got to shooting it much went out to the father inlaws cabin to shoot last weekend shot 3 shots my dog got scarred and ran off spent the rest of the day and into the night looking for the dog.
My cost was a little more because I started with the hunter model but I agree with you 100% cant go wrong with that setup... I've tried to sell them on this but they seam stuck on the sako's...

Yea the A7's where imported to the US and the store up here purchased some stock from a store in the US.... 2 times markup and 2 times freight and a border crossing the A7 is going for almost 1600 CAN.. That's to the best of my knowledge....
The price we pay to live through -40 winters.....
