anyone own one? is it worth the price? im considering adding another rifle to my slim arsenal. kinda wanting a 6.5x55. cant find the tikka anymore in this caliber in the lite stainless but they still make the finnlight in this caliber. how do the finnlights compare to the tikkas ?

I don't know anything about the Sako 85. But Sakos are nice. And a bunch of money. You can see if you can run down a CZ 550 in 6.5X55. They're a lot cheaper than the Sako. But, the 6.5X55s will soon be gone there, too.

I had a Sako 85 Finnlight in 7mm/08. It shot and handled well and, IMO, is much nicer than the Tikkas. Not sure why I sold it... likely something else grabbed my fancy.

There is a world of difference in these two rifles. The Sako has a much better / smoother / firm lock and is nicer to handle, than the Tikka. The Tikka is cheaper made, and feels that way to. BUT... You cant beat the accuracy on any of them. |

I just posted a wonderful review of the Beretta Warranty on Sako products. Perhaps the 85 is a better piece of gear than the A7.

I have absolutely no issues with my Sako 75 Greywolf. And it is one of my rifles that I would be very hard pressed to sell. I would purchase another Sako in a heart beat, but probably not an A7.
