Hank, we need a little more info to help you... what is the intended purpose of the rifle? how much are you willing to spend? what kind of mount are you using? is it forward of the receiver or does it bridge the receiver?

Hank, your welcome! glad to help! for your particular set up I think I would use Burris signature rings. they will allow you to compensate for any misalighnments and they will not leave ring marks on your scope. |

Hank, you should have no problems at all with that set up! I am a mauser lover, and have several. the 8x57 is one of my favorite hunting calibers! ...I really think you will enjoy it! If you need/want any more info on it, feel free to pm me and I will help you all I can!
Tony
