I have a Arsenal SA M7 a milled AK-47 which I would like to install a scope mount. I would like to use the type which replaces the receiver cover. I would enjoy some feedback from some of you who have used some of the mounts on your AK's Thank You, Edited by SnoEngr |

Only AK's I have ever used just had iron sights, (barely shot and only thrown down once). Saw a pretty good section about the AK's on AR15.com you might give it a look also.

The best mount for AK is the ORIGINAL side mount. If your gun dont have the side rail, dont worry its easy to install.(if you want to lear some thinks about mounts and russian optics visit the web site AVTOMATS IN ACTION. Best optics for the AK are: red dot Cobra sight PK01 and the PSO (I prefer the models with adjustable eyepiece) // RUSSIAN SCOPES DONT HAVE CENTERED RETICLES. Also you can buy the side mount with top weaver rail (I recomend the low profile centered models made in russia or if you want somethink better the made by IOR ) AK s dont have sniper accuracy but if you want the best scopes the choice is laso IOR ( look the 4x24m2, the 6x30, 6x42 or the 2.5-10x42 ...they are not cheap...) |
