I need an ingenious solution that enables me to mount a centerpoint 4-16X44 1″ scope on just 2 cm of mounting space on a dovetail base. The best solution will be “non invasive” , use off the shelf components and have minimum cost.Loco

The mounting space can either be one space of 2cm  0.8 inch or 2 spaces of 1cm  0.4 inch with gap in-between. The attached picture (borrowed from the internet) hints you to what I am dealing with. I can not remove the iron sight but I can move it along the base to create 2cm space on one side or 1cm spaces on both sides.

I can live with a solution that is sturdy enough to hold zero during just one outing where I do not bump the scope on my low recoil .22LR rifle.Yippee
