Scope recommendations for a Ruger 10/22

I have a stock ruger 10/22 that I will be using for squirrel hunting and plinking, maybe shooting at a couple of local events every now and then.  I am looking for a good scope for the gun.  Any opinions or suggestions will be deeply appreciated.

You didn't say what exactly you were wanting to do with it but I like the Nikon Prostaff 4x and the Weaver R4 4x.  The Weaver is a little more expensive but it is fully multicoated.

What's your budget?

I should mention I switch to a 3 to 9 scope but the laser works great on  a 22 , I usually keep the scope set on 3 and the switch was not needed. The Gamo is a adequate scope for a 22 and the fixed 4 power has more feld of view than the variable 3 to 9. I don`t see the need for a lot of scope on a 22 as most shooting is under a hundred yards, it is still a lot of fun plinking.

I cast another vote for a fixed 4x. I have a B&L Balfor on a stock 10/22 and it works great. Head shots on squirrels at 10 yards or crows at 50, no problems. Any of the scopes mentioned would be fine along with the Leupold 4x rimfire.

It costs more than the others but it is solid and looks good.

I just fitted the Bushnell 3.5-10x banner on a 17HMR.  It has very clear optics for the price. I was able to see well enough to place 5 shots that could be covered by a 9mm case. The adjustments were precise, and it shot a very good box. the AO  goes down to 10 yds. with only 1/2" circle at 100 yds.  It has the cam for a 17HMR that goes to 200 yds and a blank to be marked for 22 or any shell you want to use. For $89 I am getting another to replace a sweet 17 (POS) that was given to me last year.

a good glass 4x32 should be perfect.  weaver, nikon, or sightron would be a good call.

I like the Weaver R7 for an all around hunting/plinking rimfire scope.

Amen on that, brother!  The 2-7X36 AH rimfire was/is a superb scope, if you can find one.  Kahles has unfortunately discontinued it and no longer offers a rimfire model in their KX line.
