Scope Suggestion for Ruger 10/22 Deluxe

I purchased a new Ruger 10/22 Deluxe rifle this weekend and I want to put a nice scope on it.  If price wasn't and issue what brand/size scope would you guys put on it and if you wanted to keep it to a reasonable size scope for the rifle.  It will be used for plinking and hunting varmits around the house.  Thanks

Leupold 3-9x33EFR with Alumina flip back covers.  Scope runs ~350, covers can be had for ~20 each on ebay occasionally if you are patient enough.  It has fantastic optics, is light and compact, plenty of magnification for target work and precision plinking at .22lr ranges, low enough magnification to open the field of view up for hunting, and one of the best warranties in the business.  It will last a lifetime.

Congrats on the sweet little rifle! I have a ton of custom 10/22s and love them.

For that rifle and your stated purpose I suggest the Weaver RV7 2.5-7x28. The Weaver is a darn good little scope and its small size will look good on that rifle. The 2.5-7x magnification is also perfect for what you want to use it for. I'd use either the stock base or the $10 Leupold base and the lowest matching rings that will let the scope clear the front sight. These Leupold mediums should work but double check the clearance over the sight. This will make for a good looking setup. But I would take the time (or pay a smith) to lap the rings and level the scope.

If you decide you must have more power then I'd look to the Weaver RV9 3-9x32. At $200 it's a real bargain but they are getting hard to come by. Always call and check stock before ordering these.

Might want to throw a Sightron S2 big sky 3-9x36 ao in the mix with the fine choices above also.

I recently purchased a Volquartsen 10/22 for plinking and squirrel hunting.  I monunted a Bushnell Elite 3200 4 X 12 with AO on it.  It has worked out very well and I am very impressed with the quality for the price.  I picked it up used for $200.00

Tracker is it the scope with rainguard on it?

Just installed this mount and ring combo last night. Warn 10/22 2 piece base and Millet low matte weaver style quick release rings. My first rimfire scope the RV7 2.5x7x28.  I like a good value and I read on here the Weaver was a steal.

I have a Leupold 3-9x33 Compact with Leupold base/rings that work very well on my 10/22. Great setup for hunting wabbits.

That's S&K's least expensive solid walnut 10/22 stock. They call it a "Grade A". A word to the wise the finish is a bit delicate on that one. The curse of solid walnut I guess. The really slick one is the burled walnut/composite Ultra Fancy but they get an arm and a leg for that one.
