Is it the PV? I ask because the mag range that you are listing in not the AV mag range for that scope model. The AV is a three times zoom range IE. 4-12 whereas the PV would be a four times zoom range. or 3-12. If is in fact the PV then you can expect them to go for around 1300 dollars. If it is in new like condition and he's selling it for less than that. You are getting a good buy.

I think your right. As I done some looking around this just ain't adding up that this is av series. From what iv found is av series is 1 inch tube and 3 times zoom but he stated it was 3 x12x50 and 30mm tube. He sent me a picture and on back of scope it has
3-12x50
Habicht

See if it has a FFP reticle. If the reticle gets bigger as you crank the power up, it is a PV or PH. And it should have 1/3cm adjustments printed on the turret knobs under the caps. I believe the AV's have 1/4" clicks and SFP reticles.

I have had 4 PV's.

I bought one 3-12X50 for $1000 and hunted with it a few years and got $900 on ebay for it. I bought another 3-12X50 one NIB with the iluminated reticle for $1000 and hunted a season with it, sold it for $1000.

I have two 2.5-10x42 right now. One I bought NIB for $1300 and the other I bought used in great shape for $850.
