I have an old scope that I really love on my M-14. I'm a dinosaur, the scope is a dinosaur, it all works out. The Nomenclature on the scope is Springfield Armory 4-14 x 56 Mil Dot Government Model 7.62 mm US Patent Pending Japan. This is a lighted reticle scope that is BDC for the LR118 round in 308. I believe that means it is VERY close to the 6.5 Grendel 123 gr ELD®Match™ Hornady BLACK, as far as ballistics. Anyhow, I need to repair the scope, as the rheostat that controls the reticle is loose and does not light consistently. I want to attempt this myself, and am hoping someone on the Forum has some experience opening one of these up. I literally have not a clue! I'm recently retired, and need something new to learn that can not only entertain me, but also make me crazy (er), and this looks like just the ticket. An exploded schematic would be a saving grace if anyone has one. Hell of a first post, huh?
Thanks
Bill
