Hi all, Im new to these forums and this is my first post. I live here in NY trying to get into some serious shooting with my new swfa ss scopeCool. Just got a new remington 700 sps tac with this scope mounted on it, but not sure what the rings and base are. all I know is that the rings are mediums, and its a two peice base. My understanding is that the s scope has about 100 moa of elevation adjustment, but after sighting in at 100 yards I only have about 45 moa left. Is this normal? I like the scope and all but just wanted to know if this is normal or not. thanks for the welcome!

Does this mean you can only go 45 more up? If so it looks like you 100 yd zero is 5 MOA off Center of the scopes adjustments. 50 would be center. That is not that bad. That would almost get me out to 1000 yds with my slow 308 rounds (47 MOA). You could always get a 20 MOA base for it if your rifle does not shoot flat enough to reach out how far you want to shoot.

Yes I can only go that far up. It wasnt a big deal or anything being that I probly wont go out that far anytime soon, but I didnt want something to be wrong or anything. Mine is also a .308, I forgot to specify earlier. Thanks for the reply!

I would not consider 5 moa bad. Does not sound like anything is wrong to me. Good luck and enjoy the scope.

Welcome to the OT FNG! 45 clicks left over your zero is about as good as it gets in the scope industry. If you were to need more you can go to a 20moa picatinny rail.
