So, what would be a good multi caliber suppressor for an SBR 556 and one that would do double duty on a 308 with a 20 in barrel?
I have seen an aluminum body one that says its good for hunters because its lighter. Think that is a griffin one or something. Just thinking I need to get the ball rolling before the election. Might have a lawless administration again.

Get a 30cal. Titanium is nice because they are much lighter.
I have a thunder beast 30p-1 and any day now I should get my hands on a Thunder Beast ultra 7. There are lots of great brands out there, but choosing one on the lighter end will impact your POI less. |

I have both the 30p-1 and the ultra 7 mentioned above. The one I am waiting to get my paperwork back on very soon is the Silencerco Hybrid. For a one can to do it all, I would give that one a serious look. So versatile.

I have a Silencerco specwar 762. paid 7ish for it. Good can. really good sound suppression, but its big and its heavy. Id check out Rugged suppressor or the Griffen optimus. The Silencerco Hyrbid be a good option too. Good luck, be patient it takes a while. I got another can in jail right now. Hope to get the call next month. One thing to consider is how it mounts. A direct thread might be cheaper, if your going from 223 to 308. id go with a QD since the threads for those are different. |

YHM phantom 7.62, it is heavy, it suppresses exceedingly well, and it is inexpensive ($600, I think.) For a multi-caliber, first purchase, it is a good option. And once you get a titanium can, plan on always getting titanium cans thereafter. It isn't about sound level, it is about ease of use.

I have a 30 cal Silencerco Omega. I have used it on my 308, 260, and 300 Blackout. Accuracy is very good with it. I have used it direct thread and with the QD brake mount. It returns to zero when removed and put back on the rifle with either mounting system.
One of my buddies has a Thunder Beast 30-P1. Sound suppression is about the same as the Omega. it is accurate and repeatable. The new Ultra 7 would be very nice.

I have a Saker 762. QD brake attachment so it goes on all my center fire rifles from 300BLK SBR to 30-06 hunting rifle. The Omega is the new one from Silencerco but you can still get Sakers. The aluminum suppressors ore not meant for rapid fire. You mention putting it on an AR. I would stick to SS, inconel and titanium. I have heard nothing but good things from Thunderbeast.

SilencerCo states that the Saker 762 is full auto rated.
Also the baffles in the Saker are not aluminum they are Stellite 6 (a highly corrosion resistant cobalt alloy) and the outer skin is stainless steel.

Get a Saker 762 with the ASR mount and get a few brakes/flashiders for the ASR mount and be done with it. It will cost a little more than what your wanting but you will be tickled turd-less every time you use it or even look at it. the ASR mount is one of the best locking QD systems I have seen. I have ran tons of 308/300blk/300wm and 300rum and it has not skipped a tooth or came lose. you can also get the brakes and flashhiders in any thread pattern you need plus a few you don't.
If you ever get down to Ga let me know. I can let you use and play with every suppressor mentioned in this thread. |
