Hello from Maine,
I recently got a 1985 manufactured, 4X, "model 650" Swift riflescope - and I was amazed at the clarity. It seems more clear than not using a scope at all. I might wear it as glasses! Just kidding, but really this thing is amazing. I wish you guys could look through it. I am putting it onto a 9mm carbine so I'm not concerned if it's less than super rugged. Are all Swift scopes this awesome or did I just get lucky? Cheers, Craig I will use this scope to set the standards of clarity for all my future scopes! Edited by spystyle |

The Swifts scopes I've looked through (Premire Series) have been very clear. I have "heard" nothing confirmed of problems holding zero when put on hard kicking rifles...again that is only internet complaints I've read about, otherwise optics wise they are very very good. I love their Audubon Binoculars which rank up there as some of the best optics so Swift is a very capable company.

Swift makes pretty good glass, but their binoculars are a few rungs above their scopes. Current Swift scopes are serviceable and pretty good for the money, but certainly nowhere near the top of the line optical quality. The only issue I have had with Swift products (both binoculars and scopes) was that they were not exactly waterproof. I have hear that they improved their seals since then though.
Optically, I thought the Premier scopes were about on par with Fullfield II and Buckmaster scopes, but admittedly, it has been a while since I looked at one. ILya |

they dont have to be sent in to be fixed either, you buy a new swift and it craps our take it back to where you bought and they just hand you new one just like it.
