If I wanted to mount a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 on my Remington 700 CDL SF in 300 WSM  would I use Talley regular bases with their QD rings or would I use their extended bases?

I went with extra-extended front base on my m700 with 50mm Swaro for proper eye relief for me but I going to try extended front base. It looks like I'll have just enough play without the front ring hitting the rear of the front bell. The regular bases would not work for me and my situation.
