Delrin is tough stuff!  Nice bore guide.... especially for someone that claims he doesn't clean.... Bucky

That looks really nice.  I would be interested in a couple as well if you start making them.

I am curious about the bulldozer bullets though.  Are you all talking about them being made out of delrin or some other material?  Would the delrin start to melt and stick to the bore?  Sorry if this is a silly question, I just don't know anything about the material but it sounds interesting.

I'm thinking about $15. I can start whenever. Just need caliber, size hole you want drilled in it, and your bolt diameter.............. Will cut into my bullet making time, but once I have a caliber programmed, I can turn them out pretty quickly. As has been said, Maybe I can make $1 or two on each one, and apply it towards getting some bullets made.......Which is starting to look like it's going to get expensive.

As far as being tough, delrin is pretty tough stuff. You could never pull a stuck patch back through the bore guide, or the jag for that matter. My whole idea was if the jag can fit through the bore guide, then it isn't doing you any good. If you get a stuck patch, or pull the rod back out, it will hit the bore guide, and pull the guide out with it. I tried just running some dry patches last night to see if it worked, and I just pulled the rod out, guide and all, and then put on a new patch, and re-inserted the whole thing. I pushed the bore guide in, which pushes the jag with it. When it stops, just push the rod through as normal. I was able to push, and pull a .30 cal NYLON brush through it. I have not tried with a bronze brush...........as I didn't actually want to clean my rifle at all.

If you pulled the jag out with the whole guide though, wouldn't the jag possibly slide and scratch the chamber and throat of the barrel.  I thought that was the whole point of the guide is to keep stuff from touching the throat and chamber.

I thought the purpose of a bore guide was to keep the chemicals and grease cutters out of the trigger assembly and breech area.  Brass brushes and jags shouldn't hurt the throat.

A good bore guide will keep the rod and everything centered in your bore so you are not putting pressure on certain areas.  Looks like Triggers will definitely do that.  Excellent

Just curious about the other thing.  If you cannot push a patch through the guide, that would mean you have to pull the guide in and out with the rod every time so you could be dinging things up with the jag when trying to get it all in the bore.

I don't see a problem with dinging anything up pulling it out. What I did was pull the jag back to the guide, and then pull the guide, and rod out together. The jag has no choice but to stay centered in the guide. The guide is cut to the chamber in the front, and bolt diameter in the back, so as you're pulling it out, the jag has nowhere to go.

As for the Bulldozer references, those members have priveleged information. It is a bullet that I designed, and am currently testing. They are made from copper, and aluminum.

This is a .308 200 gr.bulldozer.

Bulldozer, or bore guide? Well, I guess the answer is yes......and yes. The bore guide could be done this week. The bullets tend to take a little more development to make them right. They are currently in progress.
